Description
The Senior Database Administrator manages and maintains all production and non-production databases. Responsible for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access and security administration. The Senior Database Administrator work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Senior Database Administrator, MongoDB will join a team that supports the segment database engineering functions across the corporation including IT Infrastructure database administration for MongoDB and SQL. The Senior MongoDB Database Administrator will perform backup and recovery on Database Management Systems, configure database parameters, and prototype designs against logical data models, and defines data repository requirements, data dictionaries and warehousing requirements. This position optimizes database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance and cost.
Responsibilities Include:
Supports multiple services and multiple databases of medium to high complexity (complexity defined by database size, technology used, systems feeds and interfaces) with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity and accessibility of data.
Begins to influence department's strategy.
Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Extensive database administration experience with MongoDB and MySQL
Experience in automation and maintenance in MongoDB and MySQL databases
Cloud technology experience, Azure, Google and AWS
5 or more years of technical experience
2 or more years of project leadership experience
Experience integrating new technologies with existing technologies
Experience implementing technologies with enterprise-wide impact
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Healthcare industry experience
One or more of the following: CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP
PMP certification
Six Sigma Certification
Work-At-Home Requirements
Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.

Additional Information
