Database coordinator jobs include designing, evaluating, implementing and maintaining the company's database. He/she is also the primary contact in problem resolutions for any desktop and software-related problems. Oracle and SQL database jobs are also expected to perform by a Database Coordinator. He/she is also expected to provide support to the IT manager with regards to server administration. Database administrator jobs also include user account maintenance, system documentation, network security and help-desk support functions.
As a database coordinator, he/she needs to participate in planning for any future upgrades or technology enhancements. Database coordinators should also track and keep timely proliferation of all upgrades and technology enhancements. Besides that, he/she is also responsible for basic database system modifications in response to the request of the different. This is being done to ensure the integrity of the system. It is also good if the database coordinator can provide recommendations or strategies for data collection which ensure the integrity of all data being collected.

To be in this position, you should have an in-depth knowledge about database administrations, database programming and other IT related software. You should also have an excellent oral and written communication as well as high level of interpersonal and customer service skills. Professional trainings and certification are also needed to be in this position. Experience in relational database as well as in variety of programming languages is also required in this position.
